I'm also glad to know there were no trips to the ER. My junior year of HS on the night before my last ever science project was due I some how managed to fall crack my bad arm on the edge of the counter and then had to spend 4 hours in the ER getting x-rays because it swelled up like a balloon and I lost feeling in it... worse is that probably an hour of that time was taken explaining to the nurse how my right arm could be swollen enough to have serious concerns and still be smaller than my right. Apparently the concept of me having CP and always having an odd limb to begin with was beyond her because she kept saying, "Are you sure it wasn't your left arm? It looks bigger than your right to me." In the end no one could really explain the swelling (nothing was broken) but it got me an official Drs note and a few more hours to work on the project (which I don't even remember now - it possibly was about Carbon - well, if Carbon is the sixth element).
Should I start the prayers for the SS Fair project now to get a head start on things? Perhaps I'll start with one hoping the attitude improves before the child is home from school...
